One of my friends had a little baby boy and I was wanting to give a special gift! I created a baby cake and managed to finish this idea! Except it is made up of nessesory goods for the baby e.g nappys, Johnstones baby oils and shampoos inside and an Embroidered blanket etc. This is one if the things I would like to make up for people and sell. I think it would be a successful seller as it can be personalised.Monday, 5 January 2015
Week11-Non college work
So to focus on something other than college work and have a little break, I used my creative side to put together a few projects I wanted to do. firstly I began to create a large canvas for my friends little girl as a gift. I put all her favourite characters on it and began to paint it. Unfortunately I cannot get it finished because I've been so busy with college and work.

Atleast I can work my own hours and do something I actually like doing! After my hand ins, I am going to look into achieving my goal. Well... I've said that since forever! So hopefully one day I won't have to sell shoes to customers..

So after still continuing with my sketch book development and experimenting with texture, I found a new texture that I think I will add to my final piece! I added some embroidery stitches as I felt something was missing! The contrast of Coloured of stitches worked well with the brown voile.
Week 9
So after not being aloud to be that person in the street with their Christmas decorations on in November, I had to wait until the 1st of December. π Christmas is my favourite time of the year and I love everything about it!π even the crazy shopping days and angry people! Anyway, putting the tree up was more challenging this year as we had a puppy running away with the decorations!
Right let's move it!
Right it's time to sort out the blog! I've not posted in a good while because I've been so busy! Between college, work, cheerleading and Christmas festivities it's been a bit hectic! From the exciting trip to New York and my 21st, it's been Al go from there!
So from the week we left off, I had to squeeze in a few extra dance practises as we had a competition coming up in Blackpool. I had to carry on with my sketchbook work a bit later that week but eventually caught up.

Casting
Today was a messy start! We began the day by throwing plaster at our clay sculptures. We had to make sure every part was covered with plaster. I somehow managed to through plaster in my eyes and hair - this part was not fun πTo prepare for this part we pushed foiled through the clay so that it could create a wall - separating two halfs.

October week
Break time... During my week off college I was going to barcalona. I went out for a family meal on Friday and happened to get such an amazing surprise! I got told that it was actually NEW YORK! - I had a wish to go their ever since I was a young girl. My boyfriend had booked it for my 21st birthday!πππ° so this is partly the reason I am a few weeks behind on my blog!π However... I went to NEW YORKKK! and it was the best holiday ever!! we explored and walked so much in the 5 days we had there whilst gaining experience like nothing we've ever done before! And I don't feel so bad about not doing my blogs because if anything I was so inspired by the whole city! The food, the people the lights were amazing! We went past the design and fashion schools and learnt a lot about how the art/fashion/design industry is such a big thing their! I couldn't help but think how amazing it would be to live near there and be in a job that I loved doing. ❤️❤️It really inspired me and made me think positive about my future and how it could happen if I try hard enough!

Week 5
In the present section of my network map I included the main elements that I work around everyday. These unclude - home, college, hobby sand work. I went into a little detail about each topic describing the most important factors for each of them. I included that I will do volunteering and some kind if placement by the time my course finishes. Although this is not current, I wanted to base my future map on the things I hope to do when I have completed my degree. some of the points for the future are teaching art and design - and at some point in a different country. I would love to experience various parts of the world.
Whilst making connection (using string) with other class mates, I noticed that people with the same area of interest as me has similar thoughts. For example my friend Megan wants to travel to parts of the world like me and gaining experience through an internship.
Also whilst making connections with other class mates, I notice that people with similar specialist areas has also very similar interests. Keeping fit was a topic I found regularly in a lot of maps. I think fitness is an important part of your everyday lifestyle as it helps you to be mentally and physically be prepared for work. I hope to be able to stay fit in tr future.
