To finalise my concept in relation to the after math of an earthquake, I was inspired from a puzzle image. I liked the idea of the community working together to try and regain normality by rebuilding homes and life's. Although great efforts have been made to do so, the pieces can be put back together again although the memories of sadness and devastation will still be lurking beneath. The joins of appliqué will represent this successfully. If I had the opportunity to re-do this design, I would like to create it on a much larger scale.
